WORKING FOR THE U OF O CAMPUS RECYCLING PROGRAM

***READ CAREFULLY BEFORE APPLYING***

The U of O Campus Recycling Program provides opportunities for student employees to engage in environmentally proactive work while gaining valuable work-related knowledge about and experience in the recycling industry. Our student employees receive a great deal of personal satisfaction and valuable professional training, all while working with a great bunch of people.

Our positions pay at the starting rate of $7.00 per hour and include a one-month trial period. After 6 months of satisfactory work performance, employees are eligible for a $0.25 per hour raise, with reevaluations and raises following every 12 months. Our operating hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. There is no regular evening or weekend work. Work during school breaks and over the summer is available but optional.

At this time, consideration for employment is limited to those students having Work-Study or Tech-Fee financial aid funding. We will consider applicants desiring from 8 to 20 hours of work per week. Please provide us with as much availability as possible.

As is the nature of the industry in general, the work can be hard, fast-paced, challenging, and physically and professionally demanding. Our program operates with a 100% part-time student workforce, and provides a vital service to the campus community, come what may. We ask, therefore, that you consider the following requirements of the position before applying.
