points.
- Bring a recent picture of yourself- IMPORTANT
- Dress professionally
- Clear speaking with short concise answers: YOU ONLY HAVE 30 MIN.
- Make sure to review your application since they take many questions from there
- Some questions are ethics oriented you will not be evaluated on your opinion but rather
the quality of your answer and if youve been thinking about the issues
- Some questions are trivial facts and its okay to say that you dont know
Types of Questions
- 1. Questions about the classes you are taking or have taken
- a. Main purpose of the class, what you learned, a summary
- b. How you would use the information as a vet
- 2. Scenario Questions
- a. Ethics discussions (Which often relate back to topics in
your
- application)
- ie. How do you feel about de-clawing cats? Calf roping in
the rodeo?
- b. Expect to explain why you feel that way
- 3. Current events
- a. Local, American and Global topics are all possible
- 4. Area of Veterinary Medicine youd like to pursue
- 5. Ask you to describe the role of a new technology or procedure
- ie. Describe the teeth cleaning procedure. (The questions
usually
- relate to subjects in your application)
- 6. Describe your Travel Experience
- 7. Ask you about the large loan payments
- ie. How youre going to pay them off or how much you
think youll be in debt
- 8. Business problems in Veterinary Science
- ie. Animal rights, new technologies, new medicine
- 9. Explanation of th Narrative from your Application
- 10. What else could you / would you do with your degree
- 11. Whats your background in Business
- 12. Trivial Questions, which often relate to your Animal experience
- a. How many kittens in a litter?
- b. How much does a horse eat in a day?
- c. What is the respiratory rate of a dog?
- d. How long do chickens live?
- e. Where do you draw blood from a ferret?
