You are asked to return various images and answer a few questions.  You MUST place all images in a word processor and include a description of the image with its URL. You do not have to use the suggested URLs that I give you. 

Questions

1. (Ref page 550, Fig 20.22) Compare the detached, semidetached and contact binary systems.

2. (Ref page 550, Fig 20.23) Describe the evolution of a close binary system

3. Compare the heating in the interior of a star (shell and core) as it goes up the red giant branch the first time (8-9 page 533) with the interior as it goes up the giant branch the second time (10-11 page 535)

Describe the model. Make sure your description includes

the kinds of stars in the system, what caused the explosion , why and when it will repeat, and what might happen to the system in about 100,000 years?
