Academic Calendar

Dates for 2007-08 are as follows:

Fall Semester:   August 31 to December 16, 2007
Spring Semester:   January 26 to May 18, 2008

The schedule for 2008-09 will be available at the CIEE website early in 2008.

Accommodations

CIEE students live together in double rooms in a Warsaw School of Economics dormitory, with shared bath and kitchen facilities. Polish and other international students live in the dormitory as well. The dormitory is located very close to the WSE campus and metro station.

Meals may be taken at a student cafeteria, in restaurants, and cafés in Warsaw, or may be prepared in the dormitory. Meals are not included in the program fee.

Insurance

All students on this program are enrolled in a mandatory health and accident insurance plan. A complete description of the benefits and basic provisions of the insurance policy is included with participant acceptance materials.

UO Financial Aid

Although most forms of UO financial aid may be applied to program costs, students should be aware that they may need to supplement their standard financial aid package. All students using UO financial aid should download the attached instructions.

Using Your Financial Aid Abroad

Scholarship Opportunities

CIEE scholarships are available only to CIEE program participants. These grants ranging from $500 to $1,000 (Bowman, Bailey, Ritzmann, ISP) and are awarded each year to students who demonstrate both academic excellence and financial need. The awards are applied directly to the applicant's CIEE program fee. For more information and application materials, visit www.ciee.org/study/scholarships.aspx or contact Study Abroad Programs.

Application Deadlines:   April 1;   November 1

Students applying to participate on this program may be eligible to apply for a CIEE-UO Scholarship of $500. Please contact Study Abroad Programs for more information at 346-3207 or uoabroad@uoregon.edu.
