We're not in Antarctica. (Yet!) But UO Study Abroad Programs is on every other continent in the world.

And in dozens of unique locations, like:

  • the ecologically unique Galápagos Islands, off the coast of Ecuador;
  • the frozen archipelago of Svalbard, inside the Arctic Circle; and
  • the seat of the exiled Tibetan government, Dharamsala, India.

Our programs stress cultural immersion, but that doesn't mean they are only suitable for liberal arts majors. Culture imbues every aspect of human experience and is relevant for all fields of study, including professional fields like architecture and design, business, education, law, research science, music, medicine, art, and journalism.

UO Study Abroad Programs is committed to helping all UO students realize their fullest potential. In cooperation with UO departments and faculty, we sponsor programs that increase global awareness, develop intercultural competency, and contribute to an international climate of peace and cooperation.

We run dozens of our own programs, and we partner with other universities and organizations to offer the highest quality educational opportunities worldwide. We currently sponsor over 140 study programs in more than 80 countries; in excess of 120 regular internship positions in around 40 countries; and custom-tailored internship placements in five world-class cities.

To get started, click on "Interested Students" or "Internships" in the menu above, or use the interactive map feature to indicate the region where you'd like to study.

We'll get you there! (Maybe even to Antarctica, one day soon!)
