The McKenzie River Drive is a beautiful rural road with scenic vistas of the river and homes along the river corridor. Start the ride at Delta Campground, located on the north end of Road 19. Drive Highway 126 to the Cougar Reservoir turnoff, about 4.5 miles east of Blue River. The campground lies just past the bridge and is well marked.

Ride south on Road 19 for approximately 0.5 miles; take a left onto Road 410. In another 0.5 miles, go left onto King Road 2639. Continue past the Belknap covered bridge intersection until King Road intersects Horse Creek Road at 3.9 miles. Take a left onto Horse Creek Road and ride 1.4 miles to Highway 126. Take a left (west) on Highway 126. Ride 1.2 miles and take a left on McKenzie View Drive. Pedal along this road for 2 miles until you reach Belknap covered bridge. The bridge was named for the Belknap family who homesteaded the land on the south side of the river and operated a ferry from 1860 to the late 1880's (Williams 1988).

Cross the bridge and return to Delta Campground on the gravel section of King Road.
