My interests are in the intersection of science and people and place. My research has examined the interaction of natural and social systems and how effective decision-making is based on an understanding of both. At OIMB I work on science education in general and marine education and ocean literacy in particular. I am involved with K-12 and informal marine education, curriculum development and teacher professional development.
