Staff from the Office of Academic Advising and Admissions will present an overview of academic requirements at UO and respond to all your questions about transfer credits, academic requirements, and other issues of importance to your studies at the University of Oregon.

Academic English Placement Testing
All incoming international students with TOEFL scores of less than 575 (paper-based) or 233 (computer-based) need to take this placement test.

Welcome and Getting Acquainted
Meet other new students and staff in the Office of International Education and Exchange (OIEE). Also get introduced to UO student services.

All new undergraduate students are REQUIRED to attend a MANDATORY meeting about advising and registration. You will meet with a faculty adviser and receive your Personal Access Code (PAC) number so that you may register for classes.

Meet international student advisers from OIEE and dlearn about the University’s policies and visa regulations. Also get introduced to UO student services.

Fall 2001 (September 9-19, 2001)

September 9-13 Optional Homestay Program (Students should have received application for optional homestay in the admission packet.)

September 13 Early check-in for residence halls, 9:00 a.m. (additional charge of $20 to $35 per day until September 19)
September 13-21 International Student Orientaion - Meet in front of 150 Columbia Hall at 1:00 p.m., September 13
September 16 Academic English for International Students (AEIS) language testing
September 16 Welcome Picnic at Armitage Park
September 19 Regular check-in for residence halls. Annual housing contract begins
September 24 Classes begin
