| Friday, January 5, 2001 | 10:30 am - 11:30 am International Lounge, EMU Academic Information Session Staff from the Office of Academic Advising and Admissions will present an overview of academic requirements at UO and respond to all your questions about transfer credits, academic requirements, and other issues of importance to your studies at the University of Oregon. 11:30 am - 12:30 pm International Lounge, EMU Welcome Lunch Eat pizza and become acquainted with OIEE staff and UO student leaders. |
| Thursday, March 29, 2001 | 9:00 am - Noon Rm. 110 Willamette Hall Academic English Placement Testing All incoming international students with TOEFL scores of less than 575 (paper-based) or 233 (computer-based) need to take this placement test. 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm Rm. 110 Willamette Hall Welcome and Getting Acquainted Meet other new students and staff in the Office of International Education and Exchange (OIEE). Also get introduced to UO student services. 3:30 pm Rm. 110 Willamette Hall Campus Tour A tour of the Knight Library, EMU Computer Lab, Oregon Hall, and other points of interest. |
| Friday, March 30, 2001 | 9:00 am - 10:00 am Rm. 360 Oregon Hall Results of Academic English Testing and Advising You will receive your test results and have a chance to discuss your placement in the Academic English program. 10:30 am - 11:30 am Rm. 360 Oregon Hall Academic Information Session Staff from the Office of Academic Advising and Admissions will present an overview of academic requirements at UO and respond to all your questions about transfer credits, academic requirements, and other issues of importance to your studies at the University of Oregon. 11:30 am - 12:30 pm Rm. 360 Oregon Hall Welcome Lunch Eat pizza and become acquainted with OIEE staff and UO student leaders. 12:30 pm EMU Computer Lab DuckWeb and DuckHunt A hands-on session on how to use computers and the Internet to find out about availability of UO classes and register for your classes for the Winter term. |

12:30 pm EMU Ballroom Lobby Academic Advising & PAC # All new undergraduate students are REQUIRED to attend a MANDATORY meeting about advising and registration. You will meet with a faculty adviser and receive your Personal Access Code (PAC) number so that you may register for classes. |
| Friday, June 22, 2001 | 9:00 am - Noon Walnut Room, EMU Academic English Placement Testing All incoming international students with TOEFL scores of less than 575 need to take this placement test. Noon - 1:00 pm Rm. 360 Oregon Hall Welcome Lunch Eat pizza and become acquainted with the OIEE staff and UO student leaders. 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm Rm. 360 Oregon Hall Welcome and Become Familiar with the UO Meet international student advisers from OIEE and dlearn about the Universitys policies and visa regulations. Also get introduced to UO student services. 2:00 pm - 2:30 pm Rm. 360 Oregon Hall Results of Academic English Testing and Advising You will receive your test results and have a chance to discuss your placement in the Academic English program. 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm Rm. 360 Oregon Hall Academic Advising Orientaion & PAC # Staff from the Office of Academic Advising will present an overview of academic requirements at the UO . Following this session, you will meet with a faculty adviser and receive your Persoanl Access Code (PAC) number so that you may register for classes. 3:30 pm Rm. 360 Oregon Hall Meet with faculty adviser in your major department or the Office of Academic Advising. |

| September 13-21 | International Student Orientaion - Meet in front of 150 Columbia Hall at 1:00 p.m., September 13 |
| September 16 | Academic English for International Students (AEIS) language testing |
| September 16 | Welcome Picnic at Armitage Park |
| September 19 | Regular check-in for residence halls. Annual housing contract begins |
| September 24 | Classes begin |
