Who's your Daddy?

Oh my goodness! What a fabulous publication! I have now read two issues of the Commentator and have been pleasantly impressed with the depth and quality of your articles.

I can't tell if it is the amount of shit that you flick toward liberal minded, individual, oppressionists (AKA the Emerald), or towards our gold plated police force/student judicial system. In any case I commend your efforts and am now a devoted reader.

I do have one question though. On the front page it says that the Commentator is an independent corporation that is not affiliated with the University of Oregon. Then the Mission Statement states that the Commentator is operated as a program of the ASUO and is funded by student incidental fees. Both of these items have direct relation to the University don't they. I don't know I'm just the ass that reads the fine print.

Just found your mission statement after a search for conservative newspapers. Since I'm 75 and a 1942 graduate of Iowa state college - now University - it does my heart good just to know that an organization such as yours merely exists in this crazy liberal world.

I'm now going out to the pistol range to blow big holes in some paper targets. Keep up the good work!
