Nobody Asked Us, But...
...the Oregon Commentator for being defined as part of what the Oregon Voice is not. In addition, the Student Insurgent mentioned us repeatedly in their articles. Neither publication seems to care much for us here in 205 EMU, and to tell the truth, we're deeply hurt by this blatant display of hostility. Why, if we didn't know better, we'd think that you guys hate us?So, as a show of good faith, we're going to make a list of everything we love about you. Here goes:
- We don't see you very often.
- We like lots of pretty pictures.
- We like a variety of typefaces. Times gets so dull.
- It's always a surprise to see who's on staff each issue. We can't wait for Jimmy Hoffa to show up at the Insurgent...
With so many ghosts of student programs past lurking about it's a wonder that anyone graduates at all around here. It seems that even with all the complaining about the quality education here at the University, the kids just can't stay away. But, first things first. After graduation, there's the compulsory trip around the world, then graduate school, then drunken one-night stands that remind you of your undergraduate years, then your Ph.D., then the first gray hair and then the first big job. Maybe they can wean themselves off this rathole by the year 2000... Get tear- gassed by Eugene's finest.
Things to Do:
- Read a book for once in your life.
- Make fun of your local village idot/liberal.
- Buy Floater's new disc: "Glyph."
- Listen to Campus Talk at 1800hrs on Sundays on KWVA 88.1 FM
