what we need
- Random metric fasteners: preferably off a bicycle...but
if you know it's metric, well also take it.
- Wheel nuts: we never seem to have enough of them.
- Axles: We don't need axles all that often, but it's hard
to make a wheel role without one.
- Quick-release skewers: Most people seem to prefer a new
quick-release over our soon to be patented "bolt-cutter release".
- Pedals: yep, we're pedalphiles.
- Crank nuts: We've been called crank-nuts too...but every
year, no matter how many crank nuts we have, we always seem to need two more.
- Tires in near new condition: I'f you've got tires in near
new condition that you don't know what to do with, we'll take them. We've
got plenty dead or nearly dead ones.
- Seats? if you've got a spare seat or two (especially big
cushy seats) you can drop by, you'll make somebody's burn.
- Welding wire: If you can spare any 0.025 or 0.030 solid
or 0.035 flux core it would be much appreciated.
- WD40: We prefer it NOT in the aerosol cans, but in a 1
gal container, or in a squirt bottle filled from said 1 gal container.
- Shop rags: no such thing as too many shop rags....
- propane tank:..it's a long shot, but we could use a backup
for our cutting torch...
- copper sheet: In order to protect the playa from debris
we needs "fire proof" floor for our "cutting/grinding/welding area"... we're
hoping to find enough copper sheet to cover a 4x8 sheet of plywood. We can
probably come up with steel fairly easily. the copper is pretty much for show
(a Copper/Aluminum/playa galvanic battery has been tested, and looks promising)
If you have anything that you think we could use, and it's not on the above
list, drop me a line (cyclopath@gmx.net)...
