as of today (August 14th), most of the places I know of which actually deal
in "Playa Bikes" are sold out...so I'm not even going to list them right now.
I'll put them up next year...but there are a few places you can try.
- Pedal Revolution in San Francisco: http://www.pedalrevolution.org

10-5
- Re-Cycles: 3134 Sacramento St. Berkeley (Cross St. = Woosley).
(510) 665-1889 open M-F 11:30-6:00, Sat noon-5:30, Sun noon-3:00
- The Bent Spoke: 6124 Telegraph, Oakland, 652-3089.
Second location in Berkekley: 1615 University Ave, 510-540-0583
- Blackrock Hardware: http://www.blackrockhardware.com/
375 Main Street Gerlach Nevada, 89412
- Craig's list: http://www.craigslist.org/bik/
Right now your best bets are garage sales and thrift stores, but if you go
this route, be sure to give your (potential) playa bike a thorough inspection/tune
up before buying it/bringing it out to Black Rock. Here's a list of things
you should check for...
