Yet another spam
on behalf of the Central European Journal of Mathematics,
this one claiming to be from
gmargulis@cesj.net,
On their web sites, I found the additional email addresses
bartek@cesj.com,
dominika@cesj.com,
greg@cesj.com,
rpielaszek@cesj.com,
betley@cesj.com,
and
adefratyka@cesj.com.
Here is who they are according to
Sam Spade,
and here is who their other domain is.
Contacts from there:
jacek_ciesielski@poczta.onet.pl,
jacek_ciesielski@poczta.onet.pl0,
and
jacek_ciesielski@poczta.onet.pl1.
I won't let them publish anything I write,
I won't referee anything for them,
I will avoid referring to papers published there,
and I have asked my library not to subscribe to this journal.

Spam,
claiming to be from
worldmath@canada.com,
spam,
claiming to be from
wseas2004@canada.com,
and spam,
claiming to be from
wseas2004@canada.com,
all advertising conferences with no connection with anything I have ever
done, and whose organizers are apparently so desperate for attendance
that they flood the internet with bulk emailed ads for it.
The web site wseas.org doesn't appear in the
spam, but it exists and certainly appears to be the same people.
It has the address
info@wseas.org,
with instructions to include "WSEAS" in the subject,
as a defense against spam.
How typically hypocritical of the spammer:
they send lots of spam, but don't want to get any.
Here is who they are according to
Sam Spade.
Contacts from there:
wses@worldses.org
and customerservice@networksolutions.com.
When I looked at it, some content from the web site came from
worldses.org.
Here is who they are according to
Sam Spade.
Contacts from there:
wses@worldses.org
and customerservice@networksolutions.com.
See here for other spam
that appears to be from the same people.

Spam
claiming to be from Stephanie Mastrangelo of Thomson ISI,
a818b044.550884.d1f03ef8622c65aa.16.n.4@scientific-direct.com,
or
isif1@scientific-direct.net.
A spammer lie:
"You have received this e-mail in the genuine belief that its contents
would be of interest to you."
Here is who they are according to
Sam Spade.
Contacts from there:
denise.searfass@thomson.com
and
customerservice@networksolutions.com.
And here is who their other web site is
according to
Sam Spade.
Contacts from there:
denise.searfass@thomson.com
and
robert.kenig@isinet.com.
-
Spam 1
and
Spam 2,
claiming to be from
jpaugh@advancedclustering.com,
of Advanced Spamming Technologies (oh, excuse me,
Advanced Clustering Technologies).
Here is who they are according to
Sam Spade.
Contact from there:
dns@advancedclustering.com.
Also try the email address
info@advancedclustering.com
from their website, or call toll-free 866-802-8222
to tell them what you think of their spam.

Yet more repeated spams:
spam,
claiming to be from
jay@textbookreusers.com,
spam,
claiming to be from
jay@textbookreusers.com,
spam,
claiming to be from
jay@textbookreusers.com
and also containing the email address
Jay@textbookreusers.com,
advertising the visit of someone who wants to buy my unneeded textbooks.
They all claim to be on behalf of Jay Wise.
He seems to have switched mail programs: all these spams,
but especially the last one,
are so packed with html encoding as to be incomprehensible.
The textbookreusers.com website also has the email address
customerservice@textbookreusers.com.
The spam appears to have been sent via bookbyte.com,
and its website contains the email addresses
customerservice@bookbyte.com,
mfreed@bookbyte.com,
and webmaster@bookbyte.com,
See here for other spam
advertising Jay Wise.
I will take my business elsewhere.
-
Spam
claiming to be from
support@algebra-help.info,
whose author can't tell the difference between research in operator
algebras and the content of a high school algebra course.
Here is who they are according to
Sam Spade.
Contact from there:
david@fine-wine-guide.com.
-
Spam
claiming to be from
news@iblack.ca,
also containing the email addresses
support@email-lists.biz.
Here is who they are according to
Sam Spade.
Contacts from there:
dayvassell@yahoo.ca
and
postmaster@easyhosting.com.
And an email address from their web site:
iblack@iblack.ca@iblack.ca.
They claim to have emailed a
"purchased verified opt-in list"
(of course, such a thing is an obvious contradiction in terms)
from "Email Lists, LLC",
support@email-lists.biz.
They claim that company states,
"Our opt-in email lists are 100% permission-based ...",
which is an outright lie.
(What else do you expect from a spammer?)
Here is who they are according to
Sam Spade.
Contacts from there:
admin@email-lists.biz
and
admin@invita.net.
Also try the toll-free telephone number 815-327-2793.

I made the mistake of not using a throwaway account when
registering something,
and I got spammed repeatedly even though I left no boxes
checked asking for further email.
I won't make this mistake again, and I will avoid Wolfram as much as I can.
