Math 251 (Phillips): Previous Course Information

This page gives access to a selected subset of the course materials from the Fall 2002 course (apparently, the most recent previous Math 251 I have taught).

The files are provided in two formats (sometimes three). The formats are always given in the same order: pdf, dvi (if present), and LaTeX source code. See the comments on the different formats for more information. One warning is important enough to give here: In the fall quarter 1998, somebody printed some of my pdf files somewhere on campus and found that certain mathematical symbols (minus signs in exponents) did not print, damaging the meanings.
