Syllogistic: no primary substance; “hyparchein” rather than”kategoreisthai”.
abstraction in letters ABC.
   indifferent to the has/is distinction
 white is said of some man; male is said of some man are treated identically in syllogistic.
But the quantification suggest a logic of class inclusion
-but examples of terms, e.g. “good, state, wisdom”  or “white, horse, swan” do not suggest any commitment to individuation.  And Aristotle uses the term
Venn diagram.

assertions: affirmation and denials (true/false)
terms: major, middle, minor
syllogism: deduction, demonstration
premise: demonstrative, dialectical
universal, particular, [indefinite]; affirmative negative
            A: all B is A  (AaB)
            E: no B is A (AeB)
            I: some B is  A (AiB)
            O: some B is not A (AoB)

            2. Cesare, Camestres, Festino, Baroco
            3. Darapti, Felapton, Disamis, Datisi, Bocardo, Ferison
