SOS Scholars at the UO are welcomed into a lively research community. A defining feature of SOS is that Scholars get to do science with scientists in UO research laboratories - for credit during the school year, and for a stipend during the summer. Students also experience a mix of group social activities, research discussions and presentations, and guest speakers showcasing a range of career opportunities for physical science majors.
The UO SOS program is committed to supporting our SOS Scholars in adjusting to University life and realizing short- and long-term academic and career goals. Your SOS advisors can help you adapt to university life, plan your classes, and locate campus resources on career planning, tutoring, financial planning, and a host of other services. |
