RockCAMP

Program Dates: June 15-19, 2009.
Travel Dates: Sunday, June 14 and Saturday, June 20.

Rock Camp is a one week, all expenses paid program for undergraduate chemistry and physics majors.

Rock Camp incorporates materials synthesis and characterization lectures and labs to prepare students to excel in solid-state inorganic chemistry and materials research. This rigorous week of Rock Camp will expose students to both the kinetic and thermodynamic aspects of materials synthesis and the experimental tools used to characterize the resulting materials. Lectures will be used to introduce concepts that will be reinforced in hands-on group projects.

Eligibility: Applicants should have completed one year of college physics and one year of college chemistry to be eligible.
