Faculty Support and Project Grants
Wayne Morse Resident Scholars
Each year the Wayne Morse Center hosts two UO faculty members as Resident Scholars, one from the School of Law and one from another UO department in an appropriate discipline related to the current Morse Center theme or public policy. Resident Scholars help frame the theme of inquiry, advise the Center on thematic programs and the program on Politics and Policy, and work on academic writings. Resident Scholars receive a stipend to support their work.
Wayne Morse Project Grants
The Wayne Morse Center awards project grants each year to support community organizations, university faculty and departments, and student organizations. Awards are given to projects that stimulate and support educational events related to the Center’s current or upcoming theme of inquiry. Past awards have provided funding for new courses, conferences, symposia, community events, student projects and youth education. The maximum award is $10,000 though most awards range from $2,000 to $6,000.
