Power Conservation

Conserving electricity is always a good idea, and we have two strategies to help accomplish this:

• Turn off computers, monitors, printers and other devices when not in use
• Configure computers, monitors and printers to use a low-power mode when idle

Both of these techniques can be used separately or in combination.

Most printers, laser and inkjet, come preconfigured to use a low power mode after a set period of time. For more information on adjusting these settings, consult the printer's user manual or the manufacturer's website.

To learn how to configure your computer and monitor to use low-power modes, select your operating system:

• Windows XP and Vista
• MacOS X
