The Help Desk provides software,
operating system and account support to the UO community. Our mission
is to enhance the computational satisfaction of faculty, staff, and
students by providing knowledgeable advice, troubleshooting and problem
resolution.

- NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS
- Hardware repair service closed Thursday, July 2
- The hardware repair service in 151 McKenzie Hall will be
closed on Thursday, July 2, so we can conduct an inventory.
The rest of the services available in 151 McKenzie will be
open that day. The hardware repair service will re-open on
Monday, July 6, after the holiday weekend.
- New Accounts
- New students may claim
their Duck ID accounts for access
to email, wireless, Blackboard, free antivirus and anti-spyware
and more. For assistance with claiming your Duck ID, see the
video
tutorial or contact the Help
Desk.
- Phishing Warning
- Do not respond to e-mail that
asks for personal information. They are phishing scams. For
more information on phishing, see OnGuard
Online.
- Avoid Filesharing Software
We strongly discourage the use of peer-to-peer filesharing
software such as Gnutella, LimeWire and BitTorrent to exchange
files covered by copyright. For more information, see The
