Answers: Popular during the Cold War period ... I can't see a nuclear shelter mark on the building ...
Comments: There is something like grain in front, so this building seems to be part of a farm. Nuclear shelters are usually under ground ... State Secretary Dulles was a symbol of the Cold War, but it was this building that was popular ...I recall a hors e barn that I saw on President Grant's farm, but he has nothing to do with the Cold War ... He was a hero of the Civil War ... He came to Japan right after serving as a President ... All I can remember about the Cold War except people is nuclear missiles.

Answers: This is a house of any animal in a zoo or a farm.
Comments: I have two ideas about it. This building seems big. It seems that there is big ground in front of the building. I think if this building is in a zoo, it is elephants house. This big gate uses adult elephants. And on the left of little gate uses its children. The other thinking, if it is in a farm, there are many horses or cows and bulls or chickens. Because America is great foods producing country. I think that there are many big plantation in America. So I think that many American beef, eggs and milks are producing in this building.

Answers: plant or station of NIKE missile
Comments: First, NIKE reminds me of a statue of goddess at Rouver museum. Nike on a ship's prow, known as the Winged Victory of Samothrace in Greece ages ( circa 190 B.C ). I didn't know that NIKE is names of missile. I think that may be this name from statue of victory goddess. And this building is the missile plant or missile station.

ANSWER: Yes, as some of you have guessed, this is an old building above a Nike missile site. There are many such buildings around the U.S.. When we drive to Montana to see my husband's family, we sometimes see old missile sites out in the middle of fields. These days, some of them are being taken apart and abandoned, but there is always the question of danger from leaking radioactivity ("nukes" -- nuclear weapons). I hope my own children never experience the worldwide fear and hatred of the Cold War and World War I and II. I hope these old missile silos become antiques and are never replaced!
