COLLECTIVE BARGAINING INSTITUTE
Today’s difficult bargaining climate demands a more strategic approach to labor negotiations. This residential institute will focus on all aspects of preparing and running a comprehensive contract campaign, emphasizing membership participation in the bargaining process. This will include strategy development, legal issues in bargaining, bargaining committee preparation, membership mobilization, research, at-the-table skills, drafting contract language, costing and using outside allies. The Institute is designed for union officers and staff who already have some bargaining experience or are currently on a negotiating committee. It is open to both public and private sector unions; some sessions will be sector-specific.
Space is limited.
