Study Guide for Final Exam
The final is cumulative. Questions are based on
all topics and morphemes covered in this course. They are
approximately evenly divided across all four study units.
There are 100 points possible.
Most points on this exam depend on your knowledge of the morphemes. Be sure to review all morphemes assigned during the course.
Questions on the morphemes are:
- 20% - Vocabulary - match words from a list to
definitions, as on previous exams
- 16% - Literal Definitions - fill in blanks to complete
literal definitions
- 12% - Synonymous literal meanings - multiple choice,
choose the word with the same literal meaning
- 12% - Word Analysis - parse and gloss four
words, as on previous exams
All other question are multiple choice. They cover:
- 20% - Terminology - match words from a list to
definitions; these are the technical terms we have developed in
the course; they come from the "Terminology" Lists on each Unit
Exam Study Guide.
- 20% - General questions on topics covered in the course
