Thurs. morn. Well we are all rejoicing about our overflowing tanks [water tanks for animals], rainwater barrels, etc. Had the hardest rain in two yrs yesterday afternoon. It washed [out] everything awful bad. But I guess what is left will grow. It was fine on wheat & oats. We were all fixing to go to the river fishing. But it’s too muddy for us today. Jack & Morris [RtcMo] & Roy [KmbWR] are going to Pocasset. Grace & I are at [KmbMi] Minnies. The boys are hurrying us. Jessie [Add at top=] I never saw such a bad cloud as was last night. We went to the cave three times. It hailed some.

I washed this morning and am going to town for provinsions for threshing they will be here some time tomorrow. And I have to look for them. O my! and its such a slow outfit.
