Faculty Consultants Network Newsletter
17 March 1995

Administrativa

This is the second issue of the UO Faculty Consultants Network newsletter. As I mentioned in my message of earlier this month, I hope to maintain a biweekly schedule of my postings to this group (hopefully, most postings will be shorter than this one!). I have set up a mailing list for the group, <fcn@lists.uoregon.edu>. That address sends email to everyone who is part of the FCN or has expressed an interest in following our activities; for additions or removals from that mailing list, send email, <mailto:fcn-owner@lists.uoregon.edu> or <mailto:jqj@darkwing>.

This newsletter is available online in <http://darkwing.uoregon.edu/~jqj/fcn/newsletters/>.

I hope you will be able to join us at the FCN introductory meeting on March 30. If you know you'll be able to attend, please RSVP <mailto:jqj@darkwing>.

Upcoming events

We have several important events planned for the next month or so. Here are the highlights.

Training opportunities

There are also a large number of technology-related training classes scheduled for early spring term. I'll list some of them below. I'm encouraging all providers of this sort of training to advertise in the campus calendar so there will be a single central clearing house for this information. Meanwhile, however, if you have colleagues who might be interested in any of these classes please pass on the information!

Library Internet Curriculum

These workshops are free and open to faculty, staff or students. No preregistation required, but seating is very limited. Except as indicated, all classes are offered in the Knight Library Electronic Classroom (Knight 144), and make use of Windows PCs; some classes are offered in the Knight ITC classroom (2nd floor Knight), and make use of Macintosh computers. For more information, call 6-1935.
