Dear DCC folks,
I am not asking for a full-fledged discussion and decision via email. I
hope this can be a topic of future discussions.
ISSUE: When we acquire CDs with digital files, our goal is obviously to
transfer these to the appropriate server where the files will rest
permanently.
We may have the right to keep these as an archival or back up copy. It may
even be the publisher's choice for providing our archival copy. CDA
has already seen a couple of such instances with images and with e-books.
Do we want these? Why?
If we want them, where shall we store these?
BTW, CDA can take care of documenting their existence.
