The GWLA Western Waters Digital Library project is approaching the end of its two-year IMLS grant funding. Although GWLA has attempted to secure additional funding for further work, they have not yet been successful. However, they are continuing to plan for expansion of the collection, assuming that they will secure some type of funding. Project participants agreed to add 1400 items to the collection. The UO has so far added 2178 items, which translates into 39 single and multi-page texts, 99 still images, 7 maps and aerial photos, and some other works in progress. The materials in the UO collection were chosen by a selection team consisting of Barbara Jenkins, Andrea Coffman, Jon Jablonski, James Fox, Tom Stave, Normandy Helmer, Dennis Todd, Joni Herbst, and Lesli Larson. There are many more materials that have been selected that we continue to digitize and catalog for the collection.
