The latest version of MDID2 is now available for download at

In addition to the latest version of ImageViewer 2 there are 
many new features available, including the ability to share 
image collections among institutions using MDID.  More

Access to one remote collection, the NASA Image eXchange (NIX,
http://nix.nasa.gov/ ), is built into MDID, which gives your 
users access to a large number of images from NASA's 
multimedia archives.  In addition, James Madison University 
is preparing several image collections for sharing with other 
institutions, including the Madison Art Collection.  A list 
of these collections is available at
