There are many different World Wide Web (WWW) browsers.
In this document, we illustrate the use of three of the most common ones:
Don't have a copy of Netscape? You can get one via anonymous ftp from ftp.mcom.com In general, if you are (1) using a regular VT100/VT200/VT300-series terminal to connect, or (2) you are connecting at 9600 baud or less, or (3) you are using an XT/AT/386 PC or low-end Macintosh, or (4) you are using Oregon, then you should use Lynx.
On the other hand, if you are (1) using an X terminal, a UNIX workstation, a 486/Pentium PC, or a high-end Mac, and (2) you are directly connected to UONet with an ethernet card (or a high speed modem with SLIP/PPP, ARA or Shiva Remote), use Mosaic or Netscape.
