On December 10, 2003, we sent you an update to let you know the preliminary employer contribution rates for the Optional Retirement Plan were most likely not correct although the UO was required to implement them as of November 1, 2003. When we sent the update, we were hopeful that OUS would be able to provide us with the correct employer contribution rates by late December or early January. Unfortunately, the Oregon University System (OUS) is still trying to resolve this complex issue so we're not sure when the corrected rates will be available. We will update you as soon as we have more information. In the meantime, please review the attached letter from Richard Jarvis, the Chancellor of the Oregon University System. The OUS asked all of the institutions to forward the letter to ORP participants.
