To The Honorable Brady Adams, President of the Senate,

I have served as the President of the Interinstitutional Faculty Senate of the Oregon State System of Higher Education for the past year. In that capacity, I want to thank you and the Oregon Senate on behalf of the OSSHE faculty for voting funding for public higher education that halted the descent into financial instability of the first half of this decade. In this time of rapid change (economic, social, educational) it gives the faculty of the state system hope that we can continue to provide high quality education to Oregonians and prepare them for the highly technical economy that is rapidly growing in this state. We have a major job to do to prepare for the 21st century and it is heartening to know we have your support.
