 TARGET LEARNERS:  

Undergraduates studying for a Degree in Management 
 

OBJECTIVES:  
  •  Familiarize students with basic notions/jargon of Information Technology in the English Language.
  •  Engage students in a face to face and an on-line discussion about the Effect of Information Technology to the Business world.
  • Involve students in making a group on-line research about a topic related to Information technology and business/management.
  • Train students to give Presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint.
  •  Encourage students to create web sites for their research/projects.
 
 
PROCEDURES:  
  • Student Survey 
  • Giving mini-lectures about various related topics such as "Introduction to Information Systems", "Going On-line: The Internet", "Network Topology", etc... 
  • Creating a class at Nicenet for class conferencing and submitting on-line assignments.
  • Conducting Synchronous communication Chat sessions via "biapchat". 
  • Conducting Asynchronous communication media via Nicenet conferencing or egroups.
  • Conducting Workshops where groups of students are encouraged to share Cyber-Reports with their colleagues. 
  • Using University of Hawaii Quizcenter and Hot Potatoes to conduct on-line quizzes. 
  • Using Thinkwave for on-line Grading.
