
Overview
This is the web site for the pre-departure workshop held to participants who will be sent to the U.S. for a four-week training program in Computers in English Language Teaching (CELT) administered by the Integrated English Language Program II (IELP-II). This is a four-to-six year technical assistance and training project funded by USAID and administered by the Academy for Educational Development (AED) and its subcontractor, AMIDEAST. Information on previous and upcoming IELP-II computer-related workshops is available through the IELP-II Workshop Website.

Objectives
Participants will be able to use Microsoft Windows, Word, PowerPoint, Netscape Navigator and Composer for professional purposes. By the end of this workshop, particpants will be able to:
- Use Microsoft Word to create materials with texts, tables and graphics for professional purposes.
- Use electronic mail effectively for professional purposes.
- Explore and use the World Wide Web effectively for professional purposes.
- Create simple web pages using Netscape Composer (advanced students).
