HIST 399 courses are Special Studies Topics. Current topics include (but not restricted to): The Holocaust, Witchcraft, Greeks and Aliens, Women in Latin America, and Japanese Hist/Film.

HIST 407 courses are SEMINAR courses that fulfill the research paper requirement. Current topics include (but not restricted to): African Americans in the West, Women & Religion in US, Postwar Japan, Gender and Power in Europe, and Slavery in Latin America.

HIST 399, 405, 407, 408 or 410 satisfy distribution requirement where topic is appropriate. See the Director of Undergraduate Studies for authorization.

Any Humanities course taught by a history professor may also fulfill a history requirement.
