DrGreg & Friends, a cooperative ecotourism development consultancy based in Oregon (USA), integrates skills in Cultural & Natural Resource Management, Environmental Planning, and Site Design to creatively respond to the challenges of our evolving world. We stress local people and their goals in the process of developing constructive collaborations between residents, government, and private industry. Our work is premised on the understanding that community designs reinforce the social "fabric" of a place and are, therefore, most effective when the cultural, natural, and architectural requirements of the indigenous population are blended with the environment which sustains it.

Our primary mission is to assist local communities and organizations in conserving and enhancing their natural resource base through the creation of appropriate technology, infrastructure, and management strategies. Our central task is the development and promotion of sustainable tourism projects that combine income generation with natural resource protection. We also provide short & long-term assistance onsite to form development programs that are sensitive to, and spring from, local initiatives.

Geographically, our projects have included 6 of the 7 continents, with recent projects in Latin America, Eastern Europe, sub-Saharan Africa, East Asia, and the broader Pacific region.

Collectively, our technical skills and professional expertise provide the flexibility and holistic knowledge needed if we are to appreciate the diverse biological, cultural, and economic factors central to natural resource management & ecotourism development.
