The museum board of directors is so pleased with the courtyard sculpture that they have commissioned you to install it as a travelling exhibition. You and a partner are to propose three settings where the sculpture could have the most impact.

 
 

 

Purpose

This exercise reveals how context can change the meaning of visual imagery, providing practice in photo manipulation.

Objectives

  • to develop facility with image processing including
    • Selection tools
    • Creation tools (Fill, Gradient fill, stroke)
    • Photographic corrections such as Levels
    • Geometric transformations such as Free Transform
    • Layer control
  • to foster digital collaboration skills
  • to create print and Web images with appropriate resolution and file formats
