The Chester String Quartet

An imaginative coupling of three American Quartets written in the 1930's, all with completely different approaches to tonality and rhythm. The disc contains the famous quartet by Samuel Barber, Walter Piston's String Quartet No. 1 and the Quincy Porter String Quartet No. 3.
