Welcome to the official homepage of the University of Oregon men’s ultimate team.

If you like ultimate you have come to the right place. The University of Oregon is home to one of the nation’s premiere ultimate programs. With a 2nd place finish in a bid for our second national title, two regional championships, and three national appearances all in the last six years the Oregon club strives for success. At Oregon we not only learn how to become successful athletes, but also how to become successful teammates. And when all is said and done we leave the University of Oregon knowing we have been a part of something special.

Oregon’s success comes from our ability to offer something to everyone from the serious athlete to the weekend bomber who never learned how to throw a forehand. Whether you want to set your sights on a championship title or just kick back and enjoy the game, we invite you to come and join us.

Who is your favorite player to play with on ego?

Eli Janin.  I respect his cross-training technique-- Hang-outside-sorority-and- fondle-balls.  I question his motives there, but it seems to work well for his full field hucks.

Can you name at least 10 former presidents from over 100 years ago without looking?

It's actually pretty easy since they're all called Mr. President. Morgan Freeman, Bill Pullman, Billy Bob Thornton, James Cromwell, Michael Douglas, Jack Nicholson, Kevin Kline (twice), Harrison Ford, Jack Lemon, James Garner.

Oregon Ultimate has long been one of the most fun, competitive, and successful college ultimate teams in the nation. Since our reincarnation as Ego in the early 2000s, the team has been to nationals four times, most recently in 2007. The 2008-2009 season is fast upon us, and we wish to uphold the values the team was founded upon which encompass fun, competitiveness, success, and joyful spirited Ultimate. Our goals for this year are to qualify for and win nationals.

Additionally we want to improve our skills and most importantly make ultimate a fun and positive social experience for all the players on our team, as well as our opponents. Look for Ego at all of the major collegiate tournaments on the west coast this coming spring!

Yours in ultimate,

Dusty Becker and Steve Kenton
Captains
Ego 2008-2009.
