Live Crown Height- The live crown height is critical in determining the overall health and vigor of a tree. It is defined as the height from the lowest living branch to the highest living branch or leader. The data is recorded as a raw measurement in inches.

Stem Class - For shrubs, stems class is recorded instead of live crown height. A set of five abbreviations are used to record the stem class. S (sprout) for 1 stem, Y (young) for 2-10 stems, M (mature) for >10 stems, >1/2 alive, Dc (decadent) for >10 stems, <1/2 alive, Dd (dead) for 0 stems alive.
