Lane County Waste Management - This website contains information on waste disposal, recycling, and management resources in Lane County and related programs in Oregon.   Contact information is available on county waste resources.

BRING Recycling - BRING is a massive local non-profit recycling center.   Website includes a searchable list of items that can be found and purchased at the BRING recycling facility.

Earth 911 - a link to recycling and trash services information accessible nationwide by zip code.   Information for areas in Canada is available too.

 

Educational

Waste-Line - This Canadian website focuses on the Ottawa region but contains vital information regarding recycling and reuse.   It details how to get rid of waste products and household goods properly. This comprehensive site also includes tips on fixing broken appliances, composting, details about the "cradle-to-grave" life cycle of most products and how we can begin to create a cradle-to-cradle lifecycle for material goods.

Oregon Department of Environmental Quality - This site contains links to programs dealing with environmental quality, and information on Oregon's environmental quality issues.

EPA Region 10 - This is a link to the EPA's region 10 website.   This website includes information about the environmental programs in Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, Washington and 269 Indian Tribes. 

EPA Region 5 Illegal Dumping Handbook - This page contains a link to the encyclopedia of illegal dumping - the illegal dumping handbook.   The handbook details all aspects of illegal dumping along with noting numerous prevention projects occurring across the country.

 

Local Programs

Earth Day, Every Day - This is a site specific for Oregon. It features links to local activities for protecting Oregon's ecosystems, recycling and reusing tips, and small grants for clean up events.

SOLV - This organization helps to advertise and fund Oregon environmental restoration and clean-up events.   This site features a current list of upcoming events, funding information for clean-up events, volunteer sign-up opportunities, and links to related community resources.

 

Our Model

Michigan Coalition for Clean Forests - A successful organization devoted to keeping forested areas in Michigan clean.   This program served as a model for DumperStumper.com, our dumpsite reporting database and adopt-a-forest volunteer program.

U of O Env. Studies Service Learning Program (SLP)- Our program's home page. Here, you can find information about our work, the structure of the program, as well as look at other projects that are currently underway in Lane County.

Bureau of Land Management (BLM) - This Oregon/Wasthington BLM homewpage provides links to data on various issues about dumping effects on wildlife and nearby communities.
