Rumor has it that a vengeful ghost is haunting cell phones and taking lives. When Yumi's friend Yoko gets a call on her cell from herself time-stamped three days in the future, the two friends think it is just an elaborate hoax. One by one, Yumi's friends receive mysterious calls and meet with even stranger ends. In order to seek his independence, Martin moves into an old apartment building only to find himself mired in the domestic violence troubles of a family down the hall. It begins with the sounds of fighting and abuse from the apartment of Lara, her jealous husband Bert, and their daughter Anna. Soon enough, Martin learns that other tenants on the floor are involved in the strife and he can no longer sit idly by while the violence continues. The environment wreaks havoc on Martin's stability, threatening his relationship with girlfriend Pinky, until he resolves to get involved directly. Ting-yin is a promising young romance writer. Her first book topped the bestseller charts in South East Asia and her fans eagerly await her next book. Unfortunately, Ting-yin comes down with a case of writer's block and begins to buckle under stress from her overzealous publisher who pushes an unreasonable deadline. Morgue employees dispose of hundreds of bottles of formaldehyde into the sewers of new Seoul's Han River, and a bloodthirsty mutant monster is born. The manner in which a young woman was killed suggests that she was the most recent victim of an organ-harvesting ring that sells human organs on the black market. In addition to the removal of her vital organs, her head has also been shaved, leading investigators to suspect she had been targeted for the manufacture of hair extensions. Morgue security guard Yamazaki takes a liking to her corpse, obsessing over the hair that seems to be growing at an alarming rate. Meanwhile, stylist Yuko is trying to deal with some difficult family problems. The two meet when Yamazaki stops by Yuko's salon and he is instantly taken with the beauty of her hair, hair that reminds him of the exquisite beauty of his favorite corpse. |
