Andrew Lawson House
1515 La Loma Ave., Berkeley, 1907 Unlike his other works, Maybeck designed Andrew Lawson's house with a mediterranean flavor. The house was constructed with reinforced concrete spurred by Lawson's interest in an earth-quake proof house. The Lawson's house evokes historical connection to Pompeii, but made up of modern materials and techniques. |
