Milton Friedman is a leading advocate of deregulation

    Instead of a tycoon this week, if time permits I'll show a section of a documentary on the rise and fall of a dot.com company, Startup.com (2001).  In the late 1990s, many commentators were claiming that computers and the internet had helped bring about a "new economy."  The rise of the dot.coms seemed unstoppable.  In the spring of 2000, however, the bubble burst.
