Charles "Tiny" Dyas Mobile Equip. Team Tiny performs invaluable services in support of our efforts to provide a beautiful campus. His work is always thorough and reliable. His tested tolerance of operator errors that result in avoidable repairs is especially appreciated. Thank you Tiny from myself and the entire Grounds Team.
John Kraft Facilities Services John works hard to take care of the grounds surrounding the EMU, which is only a part of the area he is responsible for. He is always making improvements and helps make the EMU a great first impression, that is clean and trimmed and ready to put the University's best foot forward when we have visitors and need to make a good impression. John is continually friendly, helpful and reliable. We appreciate all the hard work he does for us here at the EMU. Thank you for all you do!
Melanie Haley EMU Facilities Maintenance Melanie works hard to take care of every visitor's, student's and/or employee's facilities needs in the EMU as well as volunteering to DJ on Sunday Mornings from 2:00am to 4:00am for the campus radio station KWVA. Melanie is continually friendly, helpful and reliable. We appreciate all the hard work she does for us in the EMU.
Cynthia Shallenberger EMU Food Services Each morning Cynthia works hard to find and bring up any paperwork that was left out of the previous days deposits. She always does it on a timely basis and with a smile. At the end of each month Cynthia submits the consolidated invoices quickly helping to reduce the stress of entering all of the invoices before month end. We greatly appreciate Cynthia’s hard work and friendliness.
Michie Spradling EMU Accounting Michie has the tough job in the middle between the ASUO Programs and all our various vendors, and as gatekeeper for all the various requirements for the University of Oregon that the Controllers office does not catch before forwarding upstairs.
Lynn Giordano ASUO/EMU Suite #4 Lynn works extended and/or unusual hours during the ASUO Budget Season to assure that all students are supported in the budgeting process. She not only helps to be sure all students are supported but that they learn about the budgeting processes, have access to the proper tools and resources and that her staff is knowledgeable. Lynn has worked hard to streamline this process since and has made a significant difference since joining the ASUO in August 2005.

Brian Kimball Facilities Services "Don't worry, I'll make it happen." That's what Brian always says when we have someone who needs something at the very last minute. That happens quite often and he does make it work. Over the years, he has always been there for me and I appreciate him and all the guys on his crew. They are wonderful. Thet Mar was a tremendous help to me this past Fall Term at the MSCC preparing student hire documents for their center before forwarding them to me for final verification of completeness & signature.

Her assistance & willingness in completing the necessary paper work correctly and that all required documentation was provided within a timely manner was a tremendous asset to me.

Thet Mar has worked for MSCC previously as a student employee and for the past year plus as classified staff.

Ariel Broadous Law School It gives me great pleasure to pass the Star Power Award to Ariel Broadous. Ariel has a terrific personality to go with her love of hard work. In addition to her involvement with the Mediation Program, she fills in with a smile wherever needed, I am particularly grateful for her capably jumping in to the role of commencement coordinator while I had to be out of the office in May. We are so fortunate to have Ariel's bright smile and many talents at the Law School!
Melissa Barker Law School I am thrilled to pass the Star Power award on to Melissa Barker. As well as being a positive and uplifting person, Melissa is also very dedicated to her work. She is an extremely hard worker, and consistently shows grace under pressure, especially during the commencement ceremonies. We are lucky to have to have her on our team!
Risa Saavedra Law School I am passing the Star Power award to Risa Saavedra. Even though she has only been at the law school a fairly short time, she has brought a wonderful sense of style to her job as faculty receptionist. She is very competent, friendly, enthusiastic and ideal as the first person one meets in the faculty reception area.
Karyn Smith Law School I am passing the Star Power Award to Karyn Smith. Karyn has been a dedicated member of the university community for over 20 years. Karyn is a great listener, and she's always available to help support our team in times of need--even when she is busy herself. Her even temper and wit make working at the law school a real pleasure. Teresa Crawford Law School I am delighted to pass on the Star Power Award to Teresa Crawford. Teresa is one of two accountants in the Law School and her work load is enormous. She handles payroll with ease. as well as budgets and sensitive expense accounting. Her wit and wisdom make the Law School a wonderful place to work.
Polly Habliston Law School I am passing the Star Power Award on to Polly Habliston. As our accountant, Polly’s work supports the entire law school community. Her duties are numerous, complex and time sensitive and she handles demands with unending patience. Polly is also a delightful coworker—she is full of wisdom and good humor. Thank you!!
Jill Forcier Law School I am passing the Star Power Award on to Jill Forcier. Jill works with one of the busiest programs at the law school. Her duties are often complex and time sensitive and she goes the extra mile to complete the work on time and produce the highest quality work product. Even with a huge workload, she is unselfish with her time and always offers her help to others. Thank you!!
Donna Williamson Law School The reason I selected Donna is: she is undoubtedly one of the warmest friends and co-workers one could ever imagine having the pleasure of working with. She is a wonderful woman with a warm heart, much insight, competence, and a generous nature.
