Intro to Raku
Jason Solomon
A special production & firing class for students with at least
one term of ceramics experience . Well produce pottery in the
first session, bisque fire it, and then use an outdoor Raku kiln for
firing your work in the second session. Clay(10 lbs. recycled), glazes
and firing provided. 10 hours of instruction. Term pass required.

Raku Firing

A special firing class for students with at least one session of Raku
experience . Bring a few (5-6) pieces of bisqued ceramic, suitable
for Raku firing. Glazes will be available the week before the firing.

Continuing Throwing

practice on the potters wheel with individual instruction &

Colored slips and underglazes on clay fired at a lower temperature
will add bright, vibrant results to your ceramics. Explore techniques
for painterly effects and fine detail in surface decoration.

Ceramic Fountains

to use with a small pump in making a small table fountain. (Glazing
