The University of Oregon Counseling and Testing Center invites applications for a Director. This position is a twelve month, fixed term, renewable appointment as an Officer of Administration.

The Director of the University Counseling and Testing Center serves as the Chief Psychologist of the agency and is responsible for the overall leadership and fiscal management of the department; including recruitment, hiring, evaluation and retention of staff ; for the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies, procedures and programs; overseeing and providing clinical services to students, assessing student population needs; and supervising and evaluating clinical services delivered by staff.

The Director will be familiar with managing a successful testing and assessment program, have familiarity with Educational Testing Services and other related national testing agencies.

The Director is also responsible for maintaining collaborative relationships with faculty, staff and University administrators; participating in division and college-wide committees and efforts to support and improve student life and retention, and performing other job-related duties.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a proven track record of multicultural competency and excellent clinical acumen.

The Director will be an active team member to help guide the Student Affairs Division in areas of prevention and amelioration of mental health concerns, and for promoting students’ personal and educational success through activities that complement formal academic programs.

The Director reports to the Vice President for Student Affairs.

Minimum qualifications include:

1. Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Counseling or Clinical Psychology and licensed or license eligible as a psychologist in the State of Oregon.

2. Ability to relate effectively with persons of diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds.

3. Minimum of five years of related institutional experience in a university counseling center setting

4. Ability to assume leadership of a University Counseling & Testing Center as shown by a proven record of success in working in an administrative position in university counseling center setting, knowledge of fiscal management, strategic planning, and personnel issues, and experience in working in conjunction with Student Affairs to develop strategies for ensuring the academic success of our student population by providing psychological expertise

Salary range is $100,000-115,000, commensurate with experience. Review begins the middle of July and will continue until position is filled.
