The department offers two minors. Students may choose to focus on Greek language and literature (Greek minor) or Latin language and literature (Latin minor).


Greek
The minor in Greek requires 24 credits distributed as follows:

Greek Minor Requirements24 credits
300-level courses in Greek (GRK) 8
400-level courses in Greek (GRK) 8
Upper-division credits in related courses in classics (CLAS), history (HIST), Latin (LAT), art history (ARH), English (ENG), philosophy (PHIL), religious studies (REL) 8
Students must have a grade point average of 2.50 or higher in courses applied to the minor. At least 16 credits must be earned at the University of Oregon.


Latin
The minor in Latin requires 24 credits distributed as follows:

400-level courses in Latin (LAT) 8
Upper-division credits in related courses in classics (CLAS), history (HIST), Greek (GRK), art history (ARH), English (ENG), philosophy (PHIL), religious studies (REL) 8
