Nomenclature: Aqueous Ions -- Hard

Instructions

Use this page to help you memorize the names and formulas of the less common aqueous ions. This drill will present you, at random, with either a list of formulas or a list of names. If you are given a list of formulas, enter the names of the ions in the spaces provided. If you are given a list of names, enter the correct chemical formulas in the spaces provided. Case is significant in formulas, e.g. H20, not h2o. Subscripts and superscripts are entered as simple numbers, e.g. H2SO4 would be entered as H2SO4. Separate the charge of the ion from the rest of the formula with a space. For example, SO32- should be entered as "SO3 2-". Select "Check Answer" to see if your answer is correct; select "Give Up" if you want to see the answer.
