This UO program pairs graduate fellows with local elementary and middle-school teachers as science resources.

Iota Sigma Pi NHS for Women in Chemistry Awards and Scholarships

Anna Louise Hoffman Award for Outstanding Achievement in Graduate Research
"At the time of nomination, the candidate for the Anna Louise Hoffman Award for Outstanding Achievement in Graduate Research must be a full-time woman graduate student who is a candidate for a graduate degree in an accredited institution. The research presented by the candidate must be original research that can be described by one of the main chemical divisions (e.g. analytical, biochemical, inorganic, physical, and/or ancillary divisions of chemistry). Nominations for the award must be made by members of the institution's faculty; only one nomination may be submitted by each department." It is not necessary that the person making the nomination be a member of Iota Sigma Pi. The honorarium will be $500. In addition, the winner of this award will be offered one year free membership in Iota Sigma Pi.

The ACS Graduate Fellowship (Organic Chem)

Funds to help graduate students travel to national meetings.

The ACS Analytical Chemistry Graduate Fellowships

"Fellowships for graduate students in analytical chemistry are sponsored by various companies/organizations and are awarded through the ACS Division of Analytical Chemistry. The number of fellowships awarded may vary from year to year, depending on the number of sponsoring companies...Both academic-year ($18,000) and summer ($6,000) Fellowships are available. Most applicants apply for both awards unless mitigating circumstances (previous summer commitments, impending completion of degree requirements, etc.) exist." The ACS Environmental Chemistry Graduate Awards

The Environmental Chemistry Graduate Student Award is given for excellence in graduate studies in the field of environmental chemistry.

The Graduate Student Paper Award is given for excellence in research and presentation of results.

Ford Travel Grant

This award provides a $500 travel support to female graduate students or underrepresented minority men to attend national ACS meetings and present their research. Follow the link for more information and go down the list to Ford Travel Grant.

Eli Lilly Travel Awards

American Association of University Women Graduate Fellowships

American Fellowships
These fellowships support female doctoral students completing dissertationa, funding for postdoctoral research leave, and preparing completed research for publication. U.S.citizens or permanent residents may apply.

Career Development Grants
These grants support women holding a bachelor's degree who are preparing to change or advance their careers or reenter the workforce.

International Fellowships
Awarded to full-time international female gradute or postgraduate students (who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents) for study or research.

Selected Professional Fellowships
Awarded to women who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Applicants must intend to pursue full-time study during fellowship year in a degree program with historically low participation of women.
