The undergraduate advising program in chemistry and biochemistry is designed to help the student plan both undergraduate training and to look forward to a career in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field. A faculty advisor will assist in developing a program of study from the beginning course to graduation, with modifications whenever necessary or desirable. In order for this advising to be effective the student should plan on meeting with an advisor as soon as an interest is declared in chemistry/biochemistry and on a regular basis thereafter, especially at the start of the senior year. Transfer students are encouraged to meet with an advisor before enrolling.
Students with advising questions are encouraged to contact Dr. Michael Koscho or visit the Peer Advising Center.
Dr. Koscho is available by appointment or during his walk-in advising hours.
Dr. Koscho's walk-in advising hours for Spring term are Mondays, 1:00-2:00pm and Thursdays, 11:00am-12:00pm,
beginning March 31, 2014. No appointment is necessary during walk-in advising hours, which are held in 175 Onyx Bridge.
To make an appointment with Dr. Koscho outside his walk-in advising hours, call the Chemistry and Biochemistry office at 541-346-4601.
